Pacific Green Technologies Appoints Project Director at Energy Park Sutton Bridge

SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/08/13 -- Pacific Green Technologies Inc. ("the Company") (OTCQB: PGTK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Thompson as Project Director of its proposed 49MW biomass energy plant at Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire, UK.

Since 2004, Alan has been Director of Renewables at Centrica UK with responsibility for consenting of renewable projects with a total development portfolio of approximately 4.7GW. He was also responsible for construction of four offshore wind projects together with profit and loss responsibility for a portfolio of operational onshore and offshore wind farms totaling 652MW. Prior to his role at Centrica, Alan was a Director of Engineering at Enron where his responsibilities included the development of the 790MW gas fired power station at Sutton Bridge on a plot of land adjacent to the Company's proposed development.

Alan Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science (1984) and Masters of Science (1990) from the University of Northumbria. He was previously a graduate trainee at British Alcan (1984) and a Senior Maintenance Engineer at British Alcan (1985-1992). He then became a Gas Turbine Engineer and later Development Engineer at Enron Power Operations (1992-1997) before taking responsibility for construction of part of the 790MW gas fired power station at Sutton Bridge (1997-1999) and then becoming responsible for commissioning, testing and handover at the station. Between 1999 and 2002 he was a Senior Director of Development Engineering at Enron Europe before moving to Enron Capital and Trading Resources (2002-2004). Since 2004 Alan was Director of Renewables at Centrica responsible for a portfolio of onshore and offshore wind farms totaling 652MW.
